SINGAPORE > KALIBO > BORACAY
We flew Tiger Airways DG8805 from Singapore to Kalibo, flying time of about 3 hrs 45 mins non-stop. After we arrived at the airport around 4pm, we took a 1 hr 45 mins bus ride to Caticlan Jetty (70km) to boarded the ferry to Boracay (only 10 mins ride). The fares from Kalibo airport to Boracay included the bus and ferry rides, as well as stopping at several stops on the island. We booked through Southwest Tours Boracay Inc, and costs us Php 4,095 in total. By the time we reached our rented apartment on the beach, it was already night time. Unfortunately, the 2-bedroom apartment (booked through Flipkey) we rented has not restored their electricity and their generator is not working (affected by Typhoon Haiyan). The owner (Rafael Bacchus Zulueta) was quick to offer us an alternative at no extra costs, and we stayed at 7Stones Boracay Suites, which is a short walk from the apartment. He also arranged his staffs to help us carry our luggage. |

BORACAY
After breakfast, we took a local taxi to Station 1 White Beach to do the island hopping and snorkeling excursion. Station 1 is where most of the backpackers will stay. We rented Absolute beachfront 2+1BR house, and costs us US$185 a night. |
