Day 2 (Ohrid to Skopje)
After breakfast in the apartment, we walked to the old town to explore the charming town. We spend few hours walking around, visiting some of the major attractions like Samuel's Fortress, St. John the Theologian, Ancient Theater, Robev Family House, Early Christian Basilica, Sinan Çelebi Türbesi (Shrine). Ended the tour here in the old bazaar street for lunch before we head out to Skopje, the capital of Macedonia. The drive took us about 2 hours 50 mins. Lots of big monuments in Skopje. We parked our car near the stone bridge, and walked around the old and new Skopje. We left Skopje after having q quick dinner at Stara Čaršija, a vibrant old bazaar built in Ottoman architectural style, with mosques, markets, shops and cafes. |
